From a fledgling organisation established in January 2003 with 12 members, the Public Service Compact today has a membership of over 30 employers with a combined workforce of over 100,000 employees. Its purpose is to bring together employers from across the Public Service sector in order to form a collaborative approach to the key issues of recruitment, retention and staff development.
A formal and robust partnership network has been established and been successfully delivering Compact activity since its launch in 2004. Chaired and attended by members of the Compact, these thematic groups articulate the needs of Public Service sector employers and provide the momentum and drive to take activities forward.
